1 Peter 1: 8-9 "Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him & are filled with an inexpressible & glorious joy, for you're receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls."
Brian Andrew Mason, 49, of Houston, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Brian was born on October 16, 1976, in Houston, Texas, to Philip and Rita. He graduated from Cy-Fair High School in 1995. Immediately after graduation, Brian joined the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department, where he proudly served and remained a lifelong member. He later built a career as a heavy-haul truck driver, a job he took great pride in.
Above all, Brian loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with those he cared about most—whether riding his side-by-side in Sargent, gathering friends and family at his home, or relaxing outdoors listening to music by the pool. Brian had a true gift for making people feel welcome, and he took great pride in keeping his home ready for gatherings filled with laughter, good company, and love.
On April 20, 2024, Brian married his best friend, Kristi Mason, and together they built a beautiful life. He is survived by his children: Trevor Mason and wife Amanda, Jayden Mason, and Craig Mason; and his brother, James Shows, and wife Christian. He is also survived by his father, Phil Mason and wife Claudia; mother-in-law, Kathy Georgi; brother-in-law, Karl Georgi, and wife Stacy; nephews Colten, Caiden, and Camren Georgi; Mason and niece Camila Shows; and his beloved furbabies, Red and Hercules. Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Phillips.
Brian will be remembered for his servant’s heart, his loyalty, and the way he lived out his Christian faith through both his words and actions. He showed up—fully and faithfully—for the people he loved. Whether cheering on his children at their events or helping a friend in need, Brian’s presence was steady, reliable, and full of love.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Salem Lutheran Church, 22601 Lutheran Church Rd, Tomball, TX 77377. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by a service at 6:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Jason Schleicher.
Kristi and the family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has reached out with prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. Your kindness is a true testament to the type of people Brian surrounded himself with, and the impact he made on those who knew him.
