"Choose you this day whom ye will serve; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
Joshua Robert Griswold, known by most as Josh, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2025, while spending time with friends and family in Houston, Texas. He was just one week shy of his 26th birthday.
Josh was the fifth of eight children born to Wayne and Susie Griswold. Born May 16, 1999 in Spreadeagle, Wisconsin; He grew up mostly in Norwood, Missouri, on the family farm where he was homeschooled through high school alongside his siblings. He still lived at home with his parents in Houston, Texas where they moved about 2.5 years ago.
Josh was as smart as they came and a blessing to his family in countless ways. His passion for gaming and technology was matched by his loyalty and fierce love for those around him. He was everyone’s favorite uncle and friend — a title he wore with joy. He is remembered not only for his sharp mind and wit, but for his unwavering Christian faith. He was quick to engage in deep discussions about his beliefs and never wavered in them. We take comfort in knowing he is now sitting at the feet of his Lord and Savior.
He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Susie Griswold of Houston, Texas, and by his seven siblings: Michael Griswold, Alexandra Griswold, Elisabeth Frawley (Jeff), Josiah Griswold (Allison), Jonathan Griswold (Elizabeth), Jacob Griswold (Abigail), and Lydia Griswold. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews, with two more on the way.
Josh was well-loved by his family and by his many friends both near and far, including those he met and built lasting friendships with online. His absence leaves a deep hole in our hearts, but his legacy of love, laughter, and faith lives on.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at The Commons at Hermann Park in Houston, Texas on May 24, 2024 at 11am. All who knew and loved Josh or who want to support his family are welcome to attend.

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
