With hearts broken beyond measure, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Benjamin Lirette, who left us far too soon at the age of 11 on November 15, 2024. Ben passed away unexpectedly due to complications from a brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM).

Benjamin (Ben) was a light in our lives—a boy so full of life, warmth, and boundless love. His heart was unmatched in its capacity to care for others, especially for his younger sister, Gemma. She was his constant companion, and Ben was her protector, always by her side showing a love that knew no bounds.

Ben’s passion for soccer was a defining part of his young life. He played with incredible talent, but it was his enthusiasm, dedication, and sportsmanship that set him apart. He cheered the loudest for his teammates, gave his all on the field, and played every game with great passion—regardless of the score. His love for the game was an extension of his love for people, always putting others first and lifting them up.

As a friend, Ben was truly special—loyal, thoughtful, and kind. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and seen. Sticking up for others despite being smaller. His laughter was contagious and his kindness endless. The love and joy he brought to those around him will be cherished forever.

Though his time with us was heartbreakingly short, Ben lived every moment with purpose and love. Even in his passing, his generosity shone through. As an organ donor, Benjamin gave the ultimate gift of life, offering hope to  families in need. His selflessness is a reflection of the beautiful person he was, and his legacy will live on in the lives he touched.

Ben is survived by his loving parents, Jessica, Joshua, and Todd; his cherished sister, Gemma; along with many family members, friends, teammates, and all who were fortunate to know and love him.

While we will forever grieve his loss, we take comfort in knowing that Ben is now at peace. His spirit will remain with us—in our hearts, in our memories, and in the lessons he taught us about kindness, joy, and unconditional love.

A celebration  of Ben’s life will be held November 25th at 12 p.m. at The Grand UpperRoom in Katy, TX.

Rest easy, sweet boy. You will always be our shining star, our reigning champion, and the greatest gift we could have ever hoped for.
