Recuerdos

Inger Lokke Jorgensen mor, mormor (momo), aller (lala) to little klausman. The rock, heart, and soul of this family gained her heavenly wings at 7:17am on 9/25/25. As she was leaving her earthly body, she was holding our hands. As she was leaving, we told her that when you go to sleep, you'll be holding our hands, and when you wake up, you'll be holding Lars and Rex's hands. We took the mask off. Started praying Psalms 23 as she left us and gained her wings. She was an amazing woman who always brightened the room with her wit and brought a smile to others’ faces. Born in Frederiksburg, Denmark, and raised in Bagsværd, Denmark, Inger’s early days were marked by creativity and grace. She was a talented seamstress, a spirited horseback rider, and a professional ballroom dancer with her older brother, Ib. Her passion for design led her to sketch clothes for herself and others. A highlight of her early career was graduating from the prestigious Margrethe-Skolen (school), where she had the distinct honor of sewing for the Queen of Denmark. Inger moved to America in 1967. She built her permanent home in Seabrook, TX in 1969. Her diverse talents and strong work ethic led her to many different roles. Notably, she worked at NASA on projects from STS1 to STS83. She was a member of the Danish Ladies Club, an all-star PTA, devoted Vikings Soccer Team, Tennis and Gymnastics mom. Her love for nature shone through her passion for gardening and her ownership of Pic-a-Pot nursery where she sold flowers to the famous Maas Nursery in Seabrook. She retired after working many years for local AC companies. After retiring, Inger dedicated herself to her family, spending most of her time driving her granddaughter and friends to gymnastics, school events, and more. She spent her last 11 years at home with Christine & Kirsten. She was blessed her last four years with her great-grandson, Klaus, which gave her morning hugs, good night kisses and whom she loved dearly. She loved playing with Klaus, watching Dancing with the Stars, Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, playing card games like Solitaire and Rummy, as well as, enjoying word searches on her tablet. Inger has transcended into heaven with her son, Lars Henrik Lokke Jorgensen, her granddaughter’s father, Rex Allen Luongo, her parents Helge and Else Lokke, her siblings, Povl Lokke, Ib Lokke, Birthe Bell and her ex-husband of 32 years, Peter Michael Jorgensen. Inger Løkke Jorgensen is survived by her younger brother, Jorgen Lokke, her daughter, Anne Christine Lokke Jorgensen, her son-in-law, Donald Squatty Thompson, her granddaughter, Kirsten Elizabeth Lokke Luongo, and her great-grandson, Klaus Allen Lokke Levick. She will be missed deeply by so many more who knew and loved her. A celebration of life is still TBD.
