Jeffrey "Jeff" Allen Blankenship

Jeffrey Allen Blankenship, age 68, passed away Sunday March 30, 2025 at his home after 19 years of living with Lymphoma.

Jeff had a great passion for learning and loved to find new hobbies. He found great joy in woodworking, photography, cooking, and video games, but nothing could eclipse his love for music. Jeff picked up a guitar when he was just a kid and found a partner for life. Writing, singing, rehearsing, and recording, he loved it all and he knew that his music gave back as much as he put in. 

Jeff loved to share his knowledge with those around him and even taught guitar for a period of time where he met his wife Susan when she walked into a Guitar Center for music lessons. 

In his work and in his communities, Jeff believed in treating everyone with respect and patience. Whether interacting with colleagues, friends, or strangers, Jeff’s calm demeanor and thoughtful approach left a lasting impact on those around him. His genuine care for others created strong relationships and his belief in the inherent dignity of every individual was reflected in his everyday actions. 

Jeff is survived by wife Susan Blankenship, son William Blankenship, daughter Kate Follmann, and granddaughters Momo and Lily Blankenship.
