Deanna Salas

Deanna Salas went to be with her mom and brother on March 31, 2025 at the age of 68.

Deanna was known for her smile and jokes.  If you spent any time around her, you were bound to smile with her.  She loved her husband of 51 years, her two children, her grand children, her “Baby Girl”, her daughter in law and (maybe more than anything) her dogs.

Deanna's Facebook page gave all of her friends a glimpse of her daily walks and bird watching.  We would often see her dogs playing or sunbathing, the cardinals coming to say hi or the chickens running around the yard.   She was happy to share her later life with anyone and everyone.  No one could ever say she was shy.

Deanna got to see some of the world as a “Navy Brat”.  She loved talking about her childhood memories, adventures with her brothers and even her first dog in England.  

She was preceded in passing by her grandparents Albert “Bud” Griffin and Freda Griffin, her mother Patricia Terence, her mother-in-law Nellie Robles and her brother Richard Johnson.  She is survived by her husband of 51 years Ruben Salas, her son Charles Salas, her “Baby Girl” Ariana Zhang and Wife Crystal, her son Eric Salas and wife Maryann, her grandsons Devin and Brandon Salas, her brother Michael Johnson, her sister in law Tammy Johnson, and a large group of nieces and nephews.

Her family will honor her life privately at the moment, however, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
