Harold "Hal" Robert Buckholts, Jr.

It is with deep sadness that the family of Harold Robert Buckholts Jr., Hal, announces their peaceful passing on September 21, 2025 at the age of 69 in Tomball, Texas. Born on December 18, 1955 in Homerville, Georgia, he was the beloved child of Harold and Nita Buckholts. 

 

Hal was a dedicated husband to Kim, his loving wife of 48 years, and a devoted father to Tiffany and Lindsay. He was a proud Dude his grandson, Brayden. He is survived by his parents: Harold and Nita Buckholts, sister Jan and husband Rhett Smithey, brother David and wife Sandra Buckholts, sister Kathi and husband Walt Hollis. Brother in law to Alicia and husband Richard Ferry, David and Lori Warner, and Suzanne Warner.  Loving uncle to Brittney and husband Andrew Palatinus, Jeena and husband Casey Taylor, Ashley and husband Chris Stapleton, Kelsi and husband Jeffrey McLendon, and Anna and husband Perry White. Loving great uncle to Leighton Smith, Lynen Taylor, Jonah and Lincoln Palatinus, Kinsey, Jacob, and Brielle Stapleton. A loving cousin to many.

 

Hal was a hardworking man who built a career as an engineer for GTE Mobilnet / Verizon that designed the cellular systems that stand as a testament to his talent and vision.

A passionate car enthusiast and music lover, he enjoyed drag races and traveling near and far to see his favorite musicians. 

He will be remembered for his humor, infectious fun-loving personality, eagerness to help others, and his faith. He had unwavering love for his family and friends. 

A celebration of life will be held at Southwinds Baptist Church on September 26, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. . In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dude’s Alzheimer’s Destroyers Alzheimer’s Walk in Dude's memory.
