James Michael Mauro, 72, of Houston, TX, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Born on May 28, 1953, in Orange, CA, he was the son of John and Betty Mauro. Since his mother passed away when he was young, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Stella Mauro, in New Jersey, where he spent most of his childhood.  James moved to Texas after graduating from Watchung Hills High School in the early 70's where he met his beautiful bride, Julie A. Tatum.  The two were married on June 29, 1974, and they shared 51 loving years together. James & Julie had 2 children and 4 grandchildren. To all who knew him, James was a family man above all else, and his love for his family was his greatest legacy. He was a die-hard fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants, and his passion for everything he did was evident in his unwavering loyalty.
