Kenneth Charles “Kenny”Gautreaux passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024 while in Hospice at his son,Tim’s home in Magnolia,Texas. He was 82 and had been ill for some time.Kenny was born to Carey Joseph Gautreaux & Doris Gautreaux on October 20, 1942 in Lafayette, Louisiana. The family, which included both parents, Kenny, his brothers Lawrence and Wayne, moved to Houston, Texas in 1955. They remained there throughout the boys school years. They attended Galena Park High School. Kenny finished school in 1961 and shortly after joined the US Air Force for two years.He married Betty Bircher in 1965. They had two sons, Timothy, born in 1967 and Matthew, born in 1976. Kenny and Betty divorced in the early 1990’s. Tragically, Betty was killed in an auto accident several years later.Kenny worked as an Instrument Technician in refineries all over the U.S. & in Libya for 40 years.In 1995 he married Glenda nee Gilbert and gained a daughter, Stacey. He & Glenda grew up in the same neighborhood and had known each other since childhood. They had been married just shy of 30 years.When Kenny was younger & stronger he liked to fish and loved taking the boys to the Frio River every summer. He enjoyed cooking & grilling outdoors for his family. He loved listening to music, especially blues and visiting with family, friends and his old high school buddies.He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lawrence. He is survived by his wife, Glenda, his Brother, Wayne Gautreaux and Sister in law, Chris. By son Tim Gautreaux and Daughter in law Stacy, son Matt Gautreaux and Daughter in law Mandy. By daughter Stacey Sledge and Son in law Randy Sledge. By Grandsons Caden Gautreaux and Khai Gautreaux, his three Granddaughters Claire Elias and Husband Cristian Elias, Katelynn Carroll and Husband Jax Bolduc, Abby Sledge, Great Grandsons CJ Elias and Sylus Bolduc, by Sister in law Debbie Thornton and her husband Mark Thornton.A Memorial Service will be held at Tomball Bible Church, 400 N Walnut St., Tomball, TX 77375 on Saturday, January 11, 2025, beginning at 1:00pm.
