Arthur Rene Gonzalez, 67, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024. He was born on July 10, 1957, in Rio Grande, Texas. Known affectionately to his family as “Rene” (Ree-Knee) and his friends as “Art”, he was a compassionate and loving soul, always ready with a helping hand. He had a lifelong love for music and enjoyed learning new things, often immersing himself in YouTube “how-to videos” and long strings of Google searches. An avid Houston sports fan, Arthur could often be found cheering on the Texans, Rockets, and Astros.

He is survived by his son, Adrian Gonzalez (Abby Gonzalez); his mother, Connie Garza; and his sister, Delia Sanchez (Carlos Sanchez). He also leaves behind his beloved granddaughter, Audrey Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his father, Arturo; stepfather, Ruben; and brother, Aurelio.
