Recuerdos

FAMILY, like branches of a tree, we grow in different directions, but our roots remain as one.

Charles Douglas Waddle, a handyman by trade and resident of Texas City, Texas, died unexpectedly on December 6th, 2025 at the age of 70 after battling a chain of health problems.

Doug is survived by his brother Bruce Waddle, sisters Suzan Hanson, Robie Lynn Waddle, Ruthie Casano, and Michelle Napolitano. He is predeceased by his little brother Gary Waddle, parents Charles Henry Waddle, and Patricia Ann Brower. I would also like to mention his long time friends that were like family to him, Billy and Tami Decker.

Doug was born on March 8th, 1955 to Charles Waddle and Patricia Brower. He graduated from Edgewood Senior High school in 1974. He spent most of his life working in Texas City, Texas as a handyman until he retired. While in Texas, he met the love of his life, Beverly Yarggee who proceeded him in death.

Doug didn't have many hobbies but what he liked doing was helping others. He didn't have a lot to give in material things but he made up for it in time, love, and caring. It didn't matter if you were family, friend, or someone he just met on the street, he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it and never asked much of anyone else except to be loved.

Doug's remains will be cremated in Spring, Texas. His remains will be brought back to Ashtabula, Ohio where he will be laid to rest with his mother, Patricia Brower. There will be no services but a Celebration of Life in Ashtabula, Ohio with the date to be determined at a later time.

We will miss you Doug. We love you and will hold you in our hearts forevermore.
