22 de noviembre de 1944 - 15 de mayo de 2025
Judy Maurice Wylie was born on November 22, 1944, to Thomas and Lorene Acree. A native Houstonian, she graduated from Waltrip High School and spent her entire life in the Houston area. On May 15, 2025, Judy peacefully entered the presence of Jesus, surrounded by the love of her family in the comfort of her home.
Judy devoted her life to her family, raising her children in Cypress, Texas, where she created a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter, love, and the smell of something sweet in the kitchen. She had a deep love for Dr. Pepper and was rarely seen without one in hand. She found joy in family gatherings, especially birthdays and holidays, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Judy also enjoyed many adventures with her husband and cherished friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, James Wylie, and their three children: Cathy (Terry) Abercrombie, Caren (John) Steffes, and Doug (Amanda) Wylie. Judy was a proud and devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren: Zachary Abercrombie, Rylie (Blake) Barrett, Lauren (Hayden) Adair, Sarah Steffes (fiancé Will Miles), Hayden Wylie, Connor Wylie, and Alayna Wylie. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Brooks Barrett and Mark Adair, who brought her endless joy.
Judy’s legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in all who knew her. Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
