Your Light shines on in our heart. In loving memory of a gentle soul. Forever cherished, never forgotten.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Gregory Vess born December 21, 1959 in Fort Worth Texas and resided in Willis,TX. He recently retired from Brandt Eng as a Jobsite Superintendent after 30 yrs. He was a member of the UWA for Sheetmetal Workers.
He was a father, brother, husband, and a son who embodied what it meant to care for others and be there when it really mattered. Our hero sadly fought his last battle with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer January 27, 2025.
John is survived by his partner of 12 years Yvonne Carmen, McNabb Vess one son Ryan Vess and wife Sarah who reside in North Carolina, 2 step sons Alex McNabb and Christopher McNabb both reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma, his Mother Mary Vess, a sister Cheri and husband Dale Brooks, as well as nieces, and a nephew of Fort Worth Texas.
At John’s request, there will be no funeral services, he preferred laughter over tears. Feel free to share your most cherished stories on this dedicated memorial page.
