Brandon James Carter

May the music of Fiddler's Green welcome you home, and may your glass never run dry.
Brandon James Carter, 39, passed away on September 17, 2026 in Cypress, Texas. He was born on May 12, 1987 in Elgin, Illinois but spent most of his childhood with his dad in the wilds of Arkansas wreaking havoc with his twin brother, Bruce, and older sister, Christina.
Back with his mom as a preteen in Colorado, he still loved to be in the woods and those CO mountains were a great place to explore with his siblings.
At the start of his senior year of high school, Brandon enlisted in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout with 2nd SCR. After serving a little over four years, including a deployment to Iraq, he returned to Colorado where he worked in construction alongside his brother and his best friend, Curt.
He had a big heart and would help people that were often forgotten, offering his spare room to people experiencing homelessness. He did this even with everyone telling him it was a bad idea and he could get hurt. He did it because he felt it was the right thing to do. And that big heart continued through death, saving at least 5 lives with the gift of organ donation.
Brandon’s greatest passion in life was gaming in all forms and watching anime! He loved playing Dungeons and Dragons, board games, video games on the PlayStation and PC, Warhammer, Magic the Gathering and so much more. There wasn’t a competition he didn’t like.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Georgiana (Robert) Williams; his siblings, Christina Carter, Bruce (Valerie) Carter, Megan Carter Adams, BJ (Jessica) Carter, John Williams, Sarah Williams, Cliff (LynnBeth) Williams, and Kyle Williams; and his grandmothers, Martha Moeser and Evelyn Carter. He also leaves behind an extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Byron Carter; grandmother Shirley Easter; grandfathers Larry Carter, Robert Easter, and Bill Moeser; and great-grandparents Willard (Cindy) Davis, Solomon (Alice) Easter, and Beulah (Henry) Metcalf.
He will be laid to rest at the Arkansas Veterans Memorial Park in Cherry Valley, Arkansas on October 27, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Brandon's honor to Tunnels to Tower Foundations www.t2t.org or by calling (718) 987-1931
