3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

John went gently from this world to his eternity in heaven on Friday June 12th, after a long struggle with Scleroderma.

John was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on December 22 1954. He grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He had several degrees and certifications but his passion was creating things. His art adorns the walls of our home as do all the pieces of wooden furniture we built together. John was a gentle man who loved his family. He also  loved our dogs. Of all the dogs we owned Tiberius was his favorite, he was devastated by his death. He loved our family gatherings where there was always great food and good fun and great conversations. He created the idea of "The Road Kill Grill" we did it every Feb and the idea was to bring obscure meats made edible to enjoy. It was always a fun gathering. He enjoyed traveling and relaxing on our patio with a nice cup of coffee. He loved pastina, and lasagna and a good grilled steak. He made wonderful omelets. His favorite dessert was Boston cream Pie.

John loved the Lord and had accepted  Jesus as his Savior many years ago. As we knew his time on earth was nearing an end we talked at length about the blessing of knowing our future with Christ. He wants all who remain behind to enjoy their life and not to mourn his passing but to be happy with the memories you have of him. He also hoped that all he leaves behind would have a personal relationship with Christ and know the peace that he knew .

John leaves behind his loving wife Mary, his sons David Ferro, Mark Ferro ( Allie), daughter Deborah Walker (Mike) , his "other" children Michelle Floyd, Nicole Wick,(Nathan) Terry La Fountain (Barbara) ,Matthew LaFountain, Bekah Harper his grandchildren , Cora and Wesley Walker ,Greyson Ferro, James , Taitum and Abby Floyd, Kaylynne Harper, , Bella LaFountain, Caleb, Luke and Indian Wick and his great grandson James Floyd. He also leaves behind his sister Cindy (Ray) Rodriguez, Niece Katie Rice (Larry) and second nieces and a nephew. He also leaves behind many cousins. He was preceded in Death by his parents Joseph and Joyce Ferro and his nephew Richard Rodriguez.

To remember John we will celebrate his life later this summer with an Irish Wake.
