Kathryn “Kathy” Burroughs Poe, age 81, was born on January 3, 1944, in El Paso, TX and passed away on June 1, 2025, in Pasadena, TX. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosalie Alsobrook Spell, sister, Lyna Colleen Spell House, brother, GF Cole Spell, niece, Angela Beth Richardson and nephew, Billy Kyle House.Kathy is survived by her daughters, Tyanne Martin Shacklett (and husband, Thomas Sims Shacklett, III) and Cynthia Rosalie Martin Lawrence; sister, Tanya Burroughs Richardson; grandchildren, Logan Sims Shacklett (and husband, David Huber), Taylor Lamea Shacklett Dusenberry (and husband, Jonathan Dusenberry), Colby Ryan Martin, Collyn Lee Lawrence, Cayden Cole Lawrence and Landan Reese Shacklett; great-grandchildren, Reese Scarlett Dusenberry and Kasey Lane Dusenberry; her nephews, Terrill Lane Richardson, Jerry Wayne House and niece Nicole Spell; her great nephews, Dustin House and Kyle Richardson and great niece Marissa Jade Howen. In lieu of flowers, we suggest a donation in her name to a charity of your choosing that supports unhoused animals. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 4:00 p.m., at the home of Logan Shacklett.
