Your Life Was A Blessing, Your Memory A Treasure. You Are Loved Beyond Words And Missed Beyond Measure

In the embrace of endless skies and softly flowing rivers, we take a moment to celebrate the life of Rhonda Woodard Bridger, born on September 1, 1956, in the heart of Shreveport, Louisiana. Rhonda’s journey came to an unexpected close on September 23, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Rhonda’s spirit now soars free among the cherished memories left behind. Rhonda was a beacon of love, lighting up the lives of all who had the joy of knowing her. She was a devoted wife to Donald Bridger, a caring mother to Dusty, Allan and Mandy, she was a beloved NaNa to her grandchildren. Her warmth extended through generations, from her grandchildren—Jaslin, Ashton, Michael, Cheyenne, Dalton, Ace, Abbey, and Augusta—down to her great-grandchildren, Malikai and Chloe. Each held a piece of her heart, forever intertwined in the fabric of her loving spirit. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, John Woodard; her mother, Neta Woodard; and two beloved children, Dusty and Mandy Rhodes. Rhonda is survived by her husband Donald Bridger; her Son, Allan Rhodes and his wife, Elizabeth, brothers, Randy and Bruce, her sisters, Dianne, Sharon, and Joni, alongside a chorus of family that loved her deeply.

An accomplished nurse, Rhonda graduated from San Jacinto LVN school in 1997 and devoted herself to the calling of caring, constantly expanding her knowledge to offer the highest standard of care to those in need. Her compassion knew no bounds, a testament to her unyielding dedication to others.

In her freetime, Rhonda found beauty in the simple things. She loved antiquing, wandering down country roads where she would capture the charm of old barns and weathered homes through her lens. Nature's serene landscapes provided her heart with peace, as she celebrated life's authentic moments with a spirit so vibrant and courageous. Rhonda's fierce love and indomitable spirit were palpable. She was known for her feistiness, her zest for life, and her unwavering support for family and friends. As we remember Rhonda today, her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched. To honor her memory, a memorial service will be held at Hemphill Church of Christ in Hemphill, Texas, details to come. In a tribute to Rhonda’s favorite color, it is requested that attendees wear purple, a reflection of her joyous spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a cause dear to her heart, particularly after the untimely passing of her daughter.

As we bid farewell to Rhonda, let us cherish the richness of her life—the laughter, the love, the boundless spirit—each woven into the very essence of who she was. Now, she dances in the gentle wind, a brilliant star lighting the way for all of us.
