Matthew 18:3-4 Truly, I tell you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

David Duane Braswell, 64, of Conroe Texas passed away on April 15, 2025. He was born June 8, 1960 in Houston, Texas.

David was an adventurous person who loved traveling and trying new things. He could light up a room and make smiles turn to laughter. He loved and had the patience to guide and teach children. He was a big child himself and had vowed to never grow up or let the child in him fade away.

David loved Galveston and music and enjoyed macrame, bicycles, baking, traveling, dice games, darts (anywhere), horseshoes and socializing. He greatly disliked drama and gossip and avoided it at all costs.

Preceded David in death were his mother Shirley Gent, stepfather Ray Gent, father Milton Braswell Sr., sister Deborah Braswell, brother Tommy Braswell, nephew Jordan Braswell, brother in law Norman Greer and nephew James Greer.

He is survived by sisters and spouses, Bonnie Greer, and Robin Wolfe (Rick); brothers and spouses; Milton “Bubba” Braswell(Sally), Larry Braswell (Jessica), Jimmy “JR” Gent, Alvin “AP” Gent, and numerous nieces and nephews.

David survived by his children and spouses, Sue Ellen Ferrell (Chase), Katrina “Trina” Moon and spouse, and Crystal Grizzard.

Additionally, he is survived by 6 grandchildren, Collin “CJ” Ferrell, Cody Ferrell, Colie Ferrell, Eric Moon, Annaleigh Warren, and Nathaniel Warren.

Also, 1 great grandson James Ferrell.

David will be greatly missed. He was a the best Dad, brother, uncle and friend anyone could ask for.
