**Obituary for Alice Kathryne Crego**

Alice Kathryne Crego, lovingly known as "Mom" and "Mimi," peacefully passed away at home on November 11, 2025, at the age of 86, in Pearland, Texas. Born on December 9, 1938, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, Alice lived a life filled with laughter, love, and a generous spirit for her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Kristy Edwards and Robert C. Edwards, Jr., along with her grandson, Tim Worstell, Alice’s love extended to her great-grandchildren, Ashley Atherton and Dylan Torres, and her great-great-grandchildren – Ryot, Amylia, Sebastian, and Delia – who brought her endless joy.  Sister, Kathleen Porter Mayo, and her numerous nieces and nephews, who she had much love throughout her life.

Alice had a soft spot for animals, often seen strolling through her neighborhood with her beloved toy poodle, who was always accompanied by her curious cat. She had an amusing habit of feeding every stray she came across, showing her kindness to all creatures great and small. 

Per her wishes, no public events are planned — she was truly a "no fuss" kind of gal. It is this  simplicity that we will remember most about her. The lives she touched will forever carry her legacy of generosity, loyalty, and love.

As we reflect on her life, we invite you to remember Alice not with tears but with smiles, as she would have wanted. She taught us all the importance of  curiosity, and finding joy in the little things. Rest easy, Alice; you will be missed dearly but never forgotten.
