Mementos

When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me, but let me go .

Michael Hildebrand, born 2-24-1950 in Nashville, TN died suddenly 3-31-26 at home in Sugar Land, TX. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Pati) Cacolice-Hildebrand, of Sugar Land and brothers-in-law James Cacolice of San Diego, Paul Cacolice (Carolyn) of Westfield, MA and sisters-in-law Donna Smith (Ralph) of Friendswood, TX, Tina Mular (Chris) of Monroeville, PA and nephews and nieces of whom he thoroughly enjoyed their exploits: Chris Smith (Kristi Posey and their child Savannah); Corey Smith (Tori and their children Bella and Teddy); Camden Cacolice; Quinn Cacolice, Jay Mular as well as several cousins he had recently found.

Michael was born in Nashville, attended the University of Tennessee for undergraduate and medical school, and West Virginia Wesleyan College for his MBA. He did his internship and residency at the City of Memphis Hospital, and specialized in Anesthesia. Along the way, he served his country in the US Air Force. As a child from a disadvantaged family in the 1950's, he was very proud of overcoming social stigma and prejudices to achieve his goal of becoming a physician.

Services will be private but there will be an online memorial at a future time. Please watch Michael's Facebook page for those details. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that mourners do at least one charitable act for those less fortunate in his memory.
