21 de noviembre de 1968 - 1 de enero de 2026
Jim Wayman, age 57, passed away on Thursday morning January 1, 2026 after a yearlong battle with cancer at his home in Willis, Texas
Jim was born on November 21, 1968, in Salt Lake City, UT to Van and Joyce Wayman. He will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife and best friend Cathy of 38 years. As well as his love for his family, sports (Go Broncos and Astros), outdoor activities, traveling, and his dogs.
Jim is survived by his wife, Cathy, their children: Casey Wayman and his spouse, Brittani; Amber Haws and her husband, Curtis. Jim was a proud grandpa to seven grandkids—Aliza, Conner, Paul, Keith, Haiden, Hunter, and Olivia—who brought joy and happiness to his life. The presence of his family was a constant source of happiness and pride for Jim, and their enduring bonds are a testament to the love he shared with each of them.
He is also survived by his mother, Joyce, and his siblings: three sisters, Sheri, Jolene, and Shaani, as well as two brothers, Ken and Jim. He is preceded in death by his father Van Wayman, a niece, and his grandparents.
Jim was truly an exceptional and hardworking individual who earned the admiration and affection of all his co-workers and friends. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel valued, treating each person as though they were part of his own family. This deep sense of connection fostered lasting relationships that enriched both his life and the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
His absence will be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of being part of his life. Jim's friendly demeanor, unwavering support, and genuine devotion to others left a lasting impression, ensuring he will always be fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched.
As Jim's daughter so beautifully expressed, another angel is watching over us today. We carry a bright and shining light within our hearts for Jim, a light that will continue to inspire us even in his absence. His memory remains a source of comfort and strength, reminding us all of the love and warmth he brought into our lives.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on January 19th at the LDS church at 1516 Wilson Road Conroe, TX 77304
