Recuerdos

If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to God. Romans 14:8

**Obituary for Robert "Rob" Graham Butler** It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert "Rob" Graham Butler, who departed this life on May 10, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on May 28, 1945, in San Diego, California, Rob was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, known for his wit and warmth. Rob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jamie Butler, who was his partner in life and love. He is survived by his two daughters, Robin Kitzmiller and Amanda Butler, who carry forward his legacy. In addition, he was a proud grandfather to Maxwell Kitzmiller and Abigail Campbell, and her husband, Benjamin Campbell. He is also mourned by his siblings, Larry and Ellen Butler, who will forever hold dear the memories they shared. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University, Rob's education was complemented by his involvement in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, where he formed lifelong friendships and fostered a spirit of camaraderie. His life was enriched by his deep love for golf, a passion that brought him joy and connections with many. Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life in his honor on Sunday, May 24, from 2-4 PM at Xalisco Mexican Restaurant in The Woodlands. This gathering will be an opportunity to share stories, laughter, and relish in the legacy of a man whose humor and kindness touched the lives of everyone he encountered. In accordance with his faith, Rob embraced the words of Romans 14:8, which he chose for his tombstone: "If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to God." Rob Butler leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will continue to inspire and resonate in the hearts of those who loved him. His spirit will remain alive in the laughter and love that he shared throughout his life.
