"....and your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, 'This is the way, walk in it' when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left." Isaiah 30:21
Charlene Hudson Jenny, age 80, of Kingwood, TX, passed away on November 1st, 2025 at HCA Houston Healthcare, Kingwood. Born to William Stanley and Ruth Jeanette (Holt) Hudson on September 12, 1945, she graduated from Portsmouth West High School (Ohio) in 1963. Soon after, she got married and moved to Columbus, OH, eventually moving to Westerville, OH where she started her family and worked as a Manager for the Jewelry Department at Harts Department Store. Then for a span of 35 years, Charlene worked as an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager at Auto Control in Worthington, OH and Control-X Medical in Columbus, OH. For many of these years she was a single mother where she worked extra jobs to make sure her kids had everything they needed. Charlene was an avid reader and a breast cancer survivor who loved ice cream and home-grown tomatoes from Ohio. She made the best fried hamburgers, chicken & noodles, marzetti, and macaroni salad. After her Mother passed away, she took over the role every holiday season of making the family favorite, gumdrop cake - a recipe that was handed down through the generations.
In 1993 Charlene married Jeff Jenny and settled in Orient, OH where she was a member of Orient United Methodist Church. Her grandsons and great-granddaughter were her pride and joy and she was happy to retire at the age of 70 and move to Texas to be near them. She was the best Gammy and Gigi.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents and brother Charles David Hudson. Survivors include her Husband of 32 years, Jeffrey Jenny, Daughter Robin (Dean) Sutton of Hubert, NC, Jill (David) Henderson of Kingwood, TX, Stepson David (Tonia) Jenny of Ogden, UT, Grandsons Nicholas (Teresa) Henderson and Lukas (Torie) Henderson both of Kingwood, TX, Great Granddaughter Maria Henderson, Sister Marilyn (Harold) George of Wheelersburg, OH and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
