Ecclesiastes 3: There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven: A time to be born and a time to die A time to plant and a time to uproot A time to weep and a time to laugh A time to mourn and a time to dance........
In Loving Memory
Ronnie Allen Isbel
April 8, 1967 - September 12, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Ronnie Allen Isbel, who left this world on September 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with pneumonia. Born in Ft. Carson, Colorado, Ronnie’s life was a testament to the power of kindness, laughter, and unconditional love. He was joyfully reunited in heaven with his son, Kendall Wayne Isbel.
To know Ronnie was to know joy. He had a jolly, booming voice that could fill a room with warmth and a compassionate spirit that made everyone feel seen and cherished. His memory will be forever etched in our hearts through the countless moments of happiness he created.
Keaton remembers when Ronnie came into his life when he was 3 years old and he was taking him to job sites with him. He said he still remembers the smell of tobacco & dirt in the truck and on the construction sites. He said he still loves that smell 30 years later.
Many will remember his ritual of rousing excitement every Friday night at Grandma Linda's. With his big, booming voice, he would announce his arrival, armed with Shipley's donuts and a gallon of milk, turning an ordinary evening into a celebration for his beloved son, Kendall, and his nephew, Steven Jacob. Though cousins, Kendall and Steven shared a bond under Ronnie's watch that was more like brothers—a timeless, symbolic connection that lives on through his brother Steve and his son, Steven Jacob.
Those Friday nights were more than a tradition; they were a party, a sanctuary of sugar and love, and a beautiful expression of Ronnie's generous heart. Ronnie was a sweet and gentle soul, a loving son, a devoted brother, a caring husband, a wonderful father, and an adoring grandfather.
During this time he earned the name of "Donut Daddy" from Ashly and Katie, and also to the "William boys"—Ashton, Payton, Cameron, and Jaydon—he was simply Uncle Ronnie, the central axis and a symbol of unconditional love.
His legacy is not just one of love, but of vibrant, joyful moments that will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife and loving partner, Tisa Johnson of Dayton, Texas; his Mother and Dad, Linda Lager of Houston and Ronnie Lee Isbel of Pattaya, Thailand; his favorite sister, Jenny Williams of Houston; and his brother, Steven Wayne Isbel.
In his final years, Ronnie eventually came to start a new chapter in a new book, a story co-authored by his loving wife, Tisa, and their children, Richard, Sherri, Johnathan, and Teagan. The new memories forged on this path to finishing his last major work gave him the strength he needed to continue to be the best man he could be to all that he loved, including his adored grandchildren: Kyson, Keira, Scarlet, Ellie, Allison, Lainey, Jaxxon, Journee, and Jettson.
His loving spirit was a force of nature, much like the wildflowers he loved to pick with Sherri and Teagan. Ronnie would often pick wildflowers and bring to Tisa just as he did as a little boy with his Mom. He loved the playful spinning he used to do with his children and always had a line waiting to be next. He loved finding a lake or pond to take the kids either to swim or fish.
Ronnie always tried to share his love of peanut butter and Karo syrup with everyone often begging them to just try it. That was a love he picked up when he was two years old.
He was a master of gentle guidance, from toilet training his granddaughter, Kera, to teaching Scarlett how to walk. He had an incredible bond with Kyson and they were inseparable until all the other grandkids came along.
In a profound testament to his impact, his wife, Tisa, shared that he taught her how to grow closer to God. He was the kind of man who would do anything to make you feel beautiful, and his patience knew no bounds, whether he was teaching someone how to brush their teeth or how to ride a bike. He was a master of turning the simplest things, like slow dancing with Teagan or a drawing, into cherished memories.
A Celebration of Ronnie’s beautiful life will be held on:
September 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM
Grand Parkway Church
22255 FM 1314
Porter, TX 77365
Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and remember the incredible man who made every day a little brighter.
Though his physical presence is gone, the echo of his laughter and the warmth of his love will remain with us always. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his brother, who will continue to carry the spirit of their eternal brotherhood and who will continue the tradition of their shared laughter, even if only in his own memory.
May Ronnie’s memory be an everlasting blessing.
